Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Texas Goon!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Goon as he avoids it easily.
It seemed like Goon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Lee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Goon but Goon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Goon pushes him off.
We've been hearing reports that Lee has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Goon misses with a double jab
and Lee counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lee.
Goon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Lee stands up over Goon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Lee works to advance to full mount. Goon defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Goon is in a horrible position here. Lee smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A big strike lands for Lee! That's really hurt Goon and he's turned his back - Lee keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Lee jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Lee!
John Lee retains his bantamweight title!
A very excited looking John Lee rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
