Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Akoni Jackson (ranked 625 p4p, 86 weight class) and Fausto Carsara (ranked 789 p4p, 107 weight class). Carsara has chosen E'sord Luch� as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Carsara misses with a combination
and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch.
Carsara breaks the clinch.
Carsara lands a lovely overhand right.
Carsara has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Jackson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Carsara throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson.
Carsara misses with a series of wild punches.
As Carsara tries to get set, Jackson tries to push him back and clinch up but Carsara manages to avoid the attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carsara fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Jackson square on the jaw! Damn, Jackson is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
