Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between New Guy (ranked 22253 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jos Beton (ranked 3103 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, New Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jos Beton!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy gets a takedown into half guard.
Beton makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Beton.
Guy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Beton wants to sweep here but Guy controlling him for the moment.
Guy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beton on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Guy's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beton throws a big right hand that misses.
Guy has momentary wrist control but Beton slips an elbow through the middle.

Beton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Beton sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Guy's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Beton cracks Guy with a big right hand but Guy just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Beton is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Guy is trying to escape and Beton transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Guy is forced to tap! Nice work there by Beton! Very nice indeed!

Jos Beton decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
