Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Compton tried to counter with a leg kick but Durch avoided it.
Compton rushes Durch and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Compton looking for a takedown.
Durch wants the takedown. Compton is fighting it off but Durch persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Compton's guard against the cage.
Durch tries to stand but Compton is controlling from the bottom.

Compton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Durch has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Compton is proving hard to escape from.

Durch advances to half guard.
Durch is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Durch seems to be working for a kimura but Compton defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Durch trying to mount his opponent but Compton defends it.
Durch wants to stand but Compton has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Compton keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Durch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Compton defends it well.
Compton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Durch on the ground.

Compton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Durch looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Durch throws some wild stikes that Compton manages to avoid easily.
Compton tries to hold on but Durch postures up.
Durch thowing shots but they're missing.
Durch takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Compton wants to hold on but Durch pushes him away.

Durch sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Durch thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Compton avoids a punch combination nicely.
Durch scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Compton tries to escape but Durch is in control.
Durch tries to move into full mount but can't pass Compton's legs.

Durch has hold of Compton's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Compton manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bonovan Durch has got the better of the ground game so far.
Compton looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Durch has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Compton wants to get back to his feet.
Compton won't enjoy being in this position. Durch looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Compton is tapping - it's over boys! Durch picks up the submission victory!
