Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thor Fresh (ranked 2068 p4p, 243 weight class) and Hin Areni (ranked 1038 p4p, 137 weight class). Areni is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mosaique. Thor Fresh has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Fresh. Areni does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fresh throws a sloppy body shot
and Areni counters with a nice uppercut.
Areni blocks a head kick by Fresh.
Areni gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fresh.
Fresh misses with a shot to the body
enabling Areni to counter with a crisp jab.

and Areni cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fresh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fresh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Areni let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Areni drops Fresh with a right and a left! Areni comes rushing in but Fresh regains his composure and manages to keep Areni in guard.

Fresh seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fresh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fresh wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Areni is now in half guard.
Areni wants to pass the guard but Fresh is defending well.

A close round but Hin Areni will probably get the nod.
