Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Felton Glass (ranked 6218 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osvaldo Castro (ranked 4821 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Felton Glass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Osvaldo Castro!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro lands a nice leg kick that just misses Glass's sensitive parts.
Castro shoots in looking for a takedown. Glass tries to sprawl out of it but Castro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Glass manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Castro.

Felton Glass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Osvaldo Castro.

Glass has closed the distance and engaged Castro in a clinch.
Castro keeps control of Glass as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Glass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Castro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Glass swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Glass manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Castro manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Glass gets to his feet. Castro looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Glass dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Castro. That did some damage!

and Glass counters with a series of strikes. Castro will be more careful next time no doubt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Castro pushes off an throws an elbow but Glass leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Castro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Glass is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Castro can do to turn this around?

Glass thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Castro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Glass. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Glass drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Glass jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Glass distracts Castro with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Glass slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Glass is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Glass is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Castro slips a jab and a cross from Glass.

Glass throws a right hand that Castro ducks under and follows up with a left that Castro also avoids with ease.

Glass is standing up over Castro. Castro looks to escape but Glass dives into side control.


Glass has hold of Castro's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Castro seems comfortable defending it but Glass has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Castro is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Castro is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Glass couldn't care less - he's delighted!
