Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Lomax (ranked 1313 p4p, 182 weight class) and Oleksander Kurtzov (ranked 1456 p4p, 198 weight class). Kurtzov has chosen Imperial March as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincent Lomax!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oleksander Kurtzov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lomax fails to land with a series of punches.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kurtzov! But no joy.
Lomax misses with the combination.
Lomax catches Kurtzov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lomax has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kurtzov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lomax as he avoids it easily.

Lomax closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lomax makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Kurtzov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lomax just stands there and leans against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lomax lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kurtzov backwards.
Kurtzov fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vincent Lomax has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleksander Kurtzov.

Kurtzov tries to pull guard but Lomax forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lomax gets through Kurtzov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Lomax swings wildly with an uppercut but Kurtzov uses good head movement to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kurtzov has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Lomax pushes Kurtzov back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Kurtzov tries to pull guard but Lomax holds him up against the cage and eventually Kurtzov drops back down to his feet.
Still in the clinch, Lomax scores with a nice short uppercut.
Lomax stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Lomax lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
