Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Super Speed (ranked 22865 p4p, 560 weight class) and Derek Erwin (ranked 4072 p4p, 430 weight class). Derek Erwin told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed misses with a right hand
and Erwin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Speed!
Erwin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Speed is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Erwin has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Speed is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Erwin yanks on the arm and Speed is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Erwin.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Derek Erwin!
After winning the bout, Derek Erwin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
