Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reinaldo Araujo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurt Red!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Araujo on his heels. He'll look to pass Araujo's guard now, I'm sure.
Red is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Red slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Araujo is looking for a sweep.
Red is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Araujo's shoulder. That is not cool.
Red is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Araujo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Red controls the position.
Red tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Red grinds an elbow into Araujo's temple.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Red wants to control but Araujo is keeping him busy.
Araujo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Red on the ground.
Red controls the position.
Red is putting a hurting on Araujo here, landing some big shots from side control.
Red wants to lay and pray for a moment but Araujo keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Red blocks the strikes from Araujo.
Araujo trying to remain calm as Red controls from the top position.
Red wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Araujo, who protects the arm well.
Red lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Araujo down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Red taking a breather here.
Red has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Araujo tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Red tries to stand but Araujo is controlling his head.
Red trying to control the position but Araujo is working away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Red has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Araujo is squirming around, avoiding Red's attempts to control the action.
Red looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Red trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Red lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Araujo is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Red turns him over and now has his back.
Araujo takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Red trying to control.
Red is hanging on to Araujo's back as he tries to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Red tightening his grip on Araujo, looking for the choke.
Araujo prevents Red from getting a body triangle.
Red controlling the position well here. Araujo rolled but Red kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
It looks like Red might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Araujo tries to escape but Red has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Red has got one arm under Araujo's chin. This could be trouble... Araujo trying to control the other hand but Red gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Araujo has tapped out! The fight is over!
