Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Krampus (ranked 497 p4p, 73 weight class) and Iosue Nicu (ranked 1068 p4p, 145 weight class). Nicu has chosen It's Dark and Hell Is Hot as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krampus misses with a left hand
and Nicu counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Dexter Krampus has been cut.
Krampus with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Krampus lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Iosue Nicu has been cut.
Nicu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Krampus.
Nicu flicks out a counter leg kick but Krampus steps away.
Nicu swings for the body but Krampus moves out of range.

Krampus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nicu moves away.
Krampus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nicu.

Nicu throws a solid leg kick but Krampus takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Nicu.
Krampus throws a combination. Nicu tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Krampus counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nicu thinking.

Nicu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Krampus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nicu was well out of range. Poor timing from Krampus.

Krampus clinches up against the cage.

Krampus lands a takedown into guard.

Krampus throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nicu works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Krampus connects with a couple of short punches.
Krampus stops Nicu from standing up.
We've been hearing good reports from Krampus's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Nicu wants to stand up but Krampus is controlling him.

Nicu avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Nicu has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Krampus is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Krampus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Krampus looks to throw the jab but Nicu is out of range.
Nicu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Krampus misses with a hook.
Krampus smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Krampus uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Nicu is rocked!

That has opened up Iosue Nicu's cut even more.

Krampus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nicu, pushing him back against the cage.
Nicu is still on wobbly legs! Can Krampus finish him?

Nicu throws a head punch that misses.
Nicu seems to have recovered his senses.
Nicu blocks a body shot from Krampus.
Krampus goes for a takedown in the clinch but Nicu prevents it.
Krampus tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nicu.
Nicu tries to work over Krampus's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Nicu lands a right hand that snaps the head of Krampus backwards.

Krampus lands a nice uppercut.
Nicu is pressed up against the cage. Krampus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Nicu down to the mat. Nicu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nicu ducks right into an uppercut from Krampus.

Krampus swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nicu throws a body kick that misses.

Krampus looking to score a takedown here. Nicu is defending well but Krampus drives through and ends up in Nicu's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nicu is looking to stand up but Krampus isn't so interested in that idea.
Nicu has momentary wrist control but Krampus slips an elbow through the middle.
Nicu seems keen to control Krampus's posture.
Krampus stops Nicu from standing up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nicu is on top in guard.

Nicu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Krampus not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nicu seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dexter Krampus dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Krampus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Nicu slips under a jab from Krampus.
Dexter Krampus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nicu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Nicu on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Krampus. Krampus obviously looking to wear him down.
Nicu takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Krampus ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Nicu out cold! The fight is over!
