PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cobweb Cooter (ranked 1949 p4p, 206 weight class) and Peter Smith (ranked 1637 p4p, 177 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cooter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Porch Honky. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cobweb Cooter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Smith!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Smith with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cooter to score with a decent uppercut.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cooter enables Smith to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cooter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
