Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between TIny T Rex (ranked 3025 p4p, 341 weight class) and Whorely Alvarez (ranked 2579 p4p, 310 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Whorely Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Summer Carpenter and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez is looking to slow Rex down with leg kicks.
Rex shoots in and bounces Alvarez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Alvarez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rex stacks Alvarez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rex!
Alvarez is trying to get back to half guard.
Rex scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Alvarez to see if he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Alvarez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rex connects with a nice short shot to Alvarez's temple.
Rex is keen to just control but Alvarez is a slippery customer.
Alvarez is concentrating on defense, preventing Rex from advancing position.
Rex winds up and cracks Alvarez with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Rex takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Alvarez is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are battling for position here. Alvarez manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Rex loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Alvarez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rex looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Alvarez has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Rex is landing a low percentage of strikes.

A big head kick from Alvarez and Rex is sent sprawling to the canvas!

Rex is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Oh Rex is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rex wants to take a breather but Alvarez is having none of it.

Rex seems to have got his legs back now.
Alvarez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rex's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alvarez tries to free his leg and advance position but Rex is retaining full guard.
Rex on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rex tries to get out of the position.

Whorely Alvarez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rex takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Alvarez lands with a good body shot.

Alvarez is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rex rather than just go for the knockout.
Alvarez lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
