The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been told by Pearson's head coaches at Holding Cell that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Pearson appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Heavyweight gets tackled into the cage by Pearson. Pearson maintains the clinch.
Pearson lands with a right to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Heavyweight is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Heavyweight misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Super Heavyweight dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Super Heavyweight seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Heavyweight breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Norman Pearson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A lazy left from Heavyweight finds it's target.


It looks like Norman Pearson has been cut.

Super Heavyweight seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Norman Pearson was interviewed post fight and said 'I knew I was better in the clinch so I did my best to get in that area and smash him. Obviously that gameplan didn't work. I will get back to camp and re-evaluate where we went wrong. Thank you all for coming out! '.
