Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Malloy!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cricky throws a combination. Malloy tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
A nice combination there by Cricky.
It looks like Michael Malloy has been cut.

Malloy looks for a takedown but Cricky sprawls well.
Cricky misses with a wild combination.
Malloy shoots in for a double leg but Cricky sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cricky closes the distance and lands a one-two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cricky slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jimbo Cricky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malloy closes the distance and clinches.

Cricky seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
I was talking to Cricky's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Cricky lands a hook that snaps the head of Malloy backwards.

and Cricky cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Cricky wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Malloy is rocked!
Malloy throws a head kick that misses.
Cricky lands with a nice body punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Malloy tries to move into range but Cricky moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Malloy is still on wobbly legs! Can Cricky finish him?
Cricky cracks Malloy on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Malloy falls backwards against the cage. Cricky follows up with more strikes that drop Malloy to his knees. Cricky keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Malloy! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimbo Cricky!
