Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between curlo jacob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Killing in the Name as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. curlo jacob could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Vitor Silva's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jacob throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
jacob tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
jacob swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Silva moves into range and clinches up with jacob.
jacob wants to get back to striking at distance but Silva won't allow it.

jacob drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.

jacob is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Silva.

It looks like curlo jacob has been cut.

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva moves into full mount! jacob won't be happy about that!
jacob knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

jacob's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Silva is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but jacob is surviving well by controlling Silva's body position as best he can.
Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
