Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Caspar Milquetoast (ranked 2949 p4p, 334 weight class) and Tazawa Matsu (ranked 3380 p4p, 365 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Matsu's choice of entrance music: TrippyThaKid - LEEDLE LEEDLE LEE. Tazawa Matsu told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tazawa Matsu!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Milquetoast avoids it really well and circles away.
Milquetoast looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Milquetoast throws a nice outside leg kick.
Milquetoast lands a jab.
Matsu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Milquetoast sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matsu somewhat.
Matsu takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Tazawa Matsu has been cut.
Tazawa Matsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matsu avoids the head kick by Milquetoast.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Matsu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Caspar Milquetoast has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tazawa Matsu.

Matsu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Milquetoast pinned against the cage. Milquetoast gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Milquetoast drops Matsu with a beautiful combination! Matsu stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Milquetoast is looking for the KO!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Milquetoast shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Matsu eats them both and turns towards Milquetoast to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Matsu dives in for a single leg takedown but Milquetoast sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Milquetoast lands a big uppercut and Matsu crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Matsu looks OK. Milquetoast waves Matsu back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Matsu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Milquetoast sprawls well. Milquetoast wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Matsu gets slowly back to his feet.
