Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Renato Gracie (ranked 2724 p4p, 304 weight class) and John Locke (ranked 2331 p4p, 266 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Locke's choice of entrance music: What Makes a Good Man. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Renato Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Locke!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie thumps Locke with a low kick.
Locke ducks under a wild hook from Gracie.
Locke let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Gracie connects with a right hand. Locke shakes it off.
Locke moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Locke throws a hook but Gracie blocks it.
Renato Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

That was a close round but I would say that Renato Gracie will probably get the nod.

It looked like Gracie was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Locke.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gracie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
