Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bertram Guerrero (ranked 24731 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konichiwa Jempsa (ranked 5302 p4p, 0 weight class). Konichiwa Jempsa will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Bertram Guerrero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Konichiwa Jempsa!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jempsa tries for a takedown but Guerrero sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Guerrero dives in for a single leg takedown but Jempsa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Guerrero dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jempsa. That did some damage!

Jempsa manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Guerrero on his heels. He'll look to pass Guerrero's guard now, I'm sure.

Guerrero isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jempsa stacks Guerrero on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jempsa!
Guerrero really is a fat lump.
Jempsa lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Guerrero down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guerrero is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jempsa is controlling him well.

Jempsa looks up at the clock and then as Guerrero takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jempsa smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Guerrero tries to bench press Jempsa off him but Jempsa keeps the position.

Jempsa tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Guerrero might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jempsa content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Guerrero wants to improve his position but Jempsa is controlling well.
Jempsa is nestled in close to Guerrero, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jempsa is working for a kimura but Guerrero is defending it quite comfortably.

Guerrero tries to get to full guard but Jempsa has control of the leg.
Guerrero on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Guerrero is trying to maintain the position but Jempsa is very close to passing his half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jempsa connects with a nice short shot to Guerrero's temple.

Jempsa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Guerrero sees it coming and defends easily.

Guerrero manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jempsa manages to get himself to full guard.

Jempsa is looking to sweep but instead, Guerrero has passed into half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jempsa can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Konichiwa Jempsa dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Jempsa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Guerrero did well to prevent Jempsa getting side control.
Guerrero is trying to stand up here but Jempsa is controlling him well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jempsa seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jempsa working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Guerrero is looking for a sweep. Jempsa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jempsa drops an elbow to the side of Guerrero's head.

Guerrero on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Jempsa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Guerrero with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jempsa is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Guerrero is hurt! He's hurt bad - Jempsa fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Guerrero from any more punishment! Congratulations to Jempsa! Great finish!
