Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bean Na (ranked 4147 p4p, 0 weight class) and XY Mondragon (ranked 4358 p4p, 0 weight class). Bean Na looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bean Na!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, XY Mondragon!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mondragon drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mondragon controls from within his opponent's guard.

Na has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mondragon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mondragon wants to stand but Na is controlling his posture from full guard.

Na looking for a guillotine here but Mondragon defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mondragon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Na pulls Mondragon in close to prevent any damage.
Mondragon wanted to stand there but Na had control of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mondragon throws a strike but Na rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Na drops back looking for a leg! Mondragon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mondragon manages to kick Na off! Na jumps back into Mondragon's guard.
Na is breathing heavily.
Na stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mondragon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mondragon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Na is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mondragon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mondragon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Na. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mondragon is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mondragon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Na trying to control the position from guard on top but Mondragon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Na drops back looking for a leg! Mondragon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mondragon manages to kick Na off! Na jumps back into Mondragon's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Na shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mondragon pinned against the cage. Mondragon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Na has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mondragon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Mondragon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Na moves away.
Mondragon lands a jab to the nose.
The fight stays on the outside here - Na looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Na misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Na avoids the body shot from Mondragon.
Mondragon cracks a nice hook into Na's ribs.
Mondragon is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Na rather than just go for the knockout.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mondragon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Na is rocked!
Mondragon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Na stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oh Na is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mondragon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mondragon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Na doesn't seem bothered though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mondragon tries to circle away but Na has him pinned against the cage.
Mondragon is trying to push Na away but Na has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Mondragon can't break the clinch.
Mondragon lands with a right to the head.
A body shot lands from Mondragon.

Mondragon breaks the clinch.
Na gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Mondragon gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
