Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KK Kaytovitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). KK Kaytovitch will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, KK Kaytovitch!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kaytovitch cracks a nice hook into Taylor's ribs.

Taylor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Taylor frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Taylor throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Taylor swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kaytovitch is now in Taylor's guard. A big mistake from Taylor there, giving up the dominant position!
Taylor doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kaytovitch content to stall in guard here.

Kaytovitch is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Taylor looking for a guillotine here but Kaytovitch defends easily.

Taylor has his foot on Kaytovitch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kaytovitch works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kaytovitch stuffs the takedown.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fight stays on the outside here - Taylor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kaytovitch bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Taylor's head backwards.
Kaytovitch lands a nice shot that snaps Taylor's head back.

Taylor takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Taylor misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kaytovitch throws a shot to the body.
Taylor needs to keep his hands up - Kaytovitch had a free shot at his head there.
No luck for Taylor with that takedown attempt.
Kaytovitch changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Taylor has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Taylor there as he acknowledges the shot.
Taylor takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kaytovitch connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Taylor's hands.
Kaytovitch lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Taylor takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kaytovitch works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Nick Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kaytovitch connects with a single shot there.
Kaytovitch comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kaytovitch lands with a shot to the body.
Kaytovitch cracks a nice hook into Taylor's ribs.

Kaytovitch tries to pull guard but Taylor won't allow it.
Taylor comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Kaytovitch lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kaytovitch.

Taylor looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kaytovitch!

Kaytovitch slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Taylor cracks Kaytovitch with a solid left hand.

Kaytovitch is working an open guard so Taylor takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horrible takedown by Taylor or perhaps it was just good defense by Kaytovitch which made him look bad.

Taylor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Taylor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Taylor thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Taylor goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kaytovitch turns into him and now he's in Taylor's guard.

KK Kaytovitch dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Taylor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Taylor not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Kaytovitch is defending against the submission attempts here by Taylor.
Taylor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kaytovitch makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kaytovitch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Taylor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Taylor creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kaytovitch sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Taylor is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kaytovitch has escaped the position, nice work there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Taylor throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Taylor tries for a kimura but Kaytovitch is defending well.

Taylor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kaytovitch, who protects the arm well.
Taylor landing strikes.
Taylor misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

An elbow from Taylor crashes against the mat.

Taylor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Taylor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kaytovitch is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Taylor's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Taylor wants to stand up but Kaytovitch has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Taylor throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kaytovitch trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Kaytovitch is looking to get to half guard.
Taylor landing strikes from the mount.
Taylor prevents Kaytovitch from getting the reversal.

Taylor moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kaytovitch has worked his arm free - good work by Kaytovitch!

Taylor working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Taylor is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kaytovitch doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Taylor.
