Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juha Niska (ranked 1732 p4p, 229 weight class) and Rich Silva Jr (ranked 880 p4p, 124 weight class). Silva Jr comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sleeping Giant kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Silva Jr!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva Jr looks to score with a jab to the body but Niska is just out of range.
Silva Jr bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Silva Jr has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Niska is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Niska!
A shot to the body from Niska misses
and Silva Jr counters with a straight right hand.
Silva Jr keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Silva Jr throws a wild hook but Niska just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Silva Jr gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Niska raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Juha Niska!
After winning the bout, Juha Niska thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
The defeated Rich Silva Jr had this to say: 'Me hungry!'.
