The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Remore on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Rodger connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Remore's hands.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rodger enables Remore to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rodger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Remore tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rodger defends well and Remore ends up having to push Rodger into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Remore closes the distance and clinches up with Rodger, looking for a takedown. Remore pushes Rodger against the cage but Rodger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Remore's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rodger connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Remore scrambles back to his feet.
Remore shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rodger pinned against the cage. Rodger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
