Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between King Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kon Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker has chosen Closer as his entrance music. Kon Parker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marvin circles away.
Parker shoots in for a double leg but Marvin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Parker wants to clinch up but Marvin keeps it at a distance.
Marvin moves into range and connects with a jab.
Parker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Parker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Marvin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Marvin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Parker looks a forlorn figure.

Parker is bucking up trying to escape but Marvin cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Marvin is landing with some decent strikes but Parker is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Marvin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Parker's face.

Marvin swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Parker is now in Marvin's guard. A big mistake from Marvin there, giving up the dominant position!
Marvin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
