The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lastairman tries for a takedown but Dudley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dudley throws a series of punches but Lastairman moves out of range.
Dudley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Dudley has closed the distance and engaged Lastairman in a clinch.

Dudley wants to take the fight to the mat but Lastairman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dudley tries to throw a body punch but Lastairman avoids it by throwing Dudley back against the cage.

Dudley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lastairman, pushing him back against the cage.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Dudley for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Lastairman misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Dudley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dudley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Dudley is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lastairman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dudley to the mat. Dudley regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lastairman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dudley's guard.

Lastairman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dudley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dudley shoots in looking for a takedown. Lastairman tries to sprawl out of it but Dudley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lastairman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lastairman or perhaps it was just good defense by Dudley, which made it look bad.
Dudley throws a big counter combination but Lastairman scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Despite the aggression on Lastairman's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dudley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lastairman manages to avoid it.
Lastairman appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Lastairman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dudley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lastairman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
