Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karim Johnson (ranked 5253 p4p, 416 weight class) and Arne Inge Karsten (ranked 5257 p4p, 415 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Arne Inge Karsten!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Johnson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Inge Karsten manages to get back to half guard.

Johnson wants to free his trapped foot but Inge Karsten is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Johnson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Inge Karsten is just riding it out for now. Johnson eventually gives up the hold.
Inge Karsten is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Johnson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Johnson's back!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Johnson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Inge Karsten gets to mount! Johnson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Inge Karsten wants to finish this one by submission but Johnson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Inge Karsten.
Johnson is controlling an arm, preventing Inge Karsten from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Inge Karsten tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Inge Karsten manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Inge Karsten shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Johnson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Karim Johnson will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Karim Johnson.
Well Johnson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
