Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bud Mccall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Time Cop! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cop lands a jab to Mccall's midsection. Cop takes the fight into the clinch. Cop is looking to take this one to the mat. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Cop as Mccall tries to tie him up. Cop pulls guard successfully.

Mccall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cop wants to get back to his feet but Mccall is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Cop throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cop wants it to stay on the feet. Cop fails with the takedown and Mccall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccall lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Cop wants to control but Mccall is keeping busy and won't allow it. Nice strikes from Mccall there. Cop keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mccall thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cop's head. Mccall is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Cop is breathing heavily. Cop has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Cop gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Nice defenses there by Mccall. As Cop tries to get set, Mccall tries to push him back and clinch up but Cop manages to avoid the attempt. Cop clinches up against the cage. Cop prevents a body shot from Mccall. Mccall tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cop avoids it. Mccall misses with a hook to the ribs.
Mccall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cop can do to turn this around? Mccall holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Mccall throwing strikes but Cop manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cop tries for a kimura but Mccall is defending well. Mccall manages to get back to half guard. Cop takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mccall is pressing down on Cop's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Mccall keeping moving, preventing Cop from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mccall is on top in guard.
Cop wants to sweep here but Mccall controlling him for the moment. Cop preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccall throws a big elbow that misses. Mccall sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cop's guard. Mccall throwing shots but Cop is blocking nicely. Cop keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bud Mccall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mccall looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cop with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Cop trying to hold on to Mccall's head to control him but Mccall postures up.
