Kurtzov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Imperial March. Oleksander Kurtzov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carpenter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kurtzov.
Kurtzov blocks a head kick by Carpenter.
A little jabbing left from Kurtzov on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Carpenter misses with a head kick.

Kurtzov drives through and clinches with Carpenter against the cage.

Carpenter jumps into guard, dragging Kurtzov to the mat.
Kurtzov stops Carpenter from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kurtzov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kurtzov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kurtzov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kurtzov drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Kurtzov as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Carpenter screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Kurtzov! Nice submission victory there!
