Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Dado Mata (ranked 800 p4p, 91 weight class) and Rap Tori (ranked 3213 p4p, 303 weight class). Mata comes to the cage accompanied by 和楽器バンド / 千本桜. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 14 wins and 12 losses; Dado Mata! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 0 losses; Rap Tori!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Tori got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mata has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tori has managed to get both his arms back between Mata's legs - danger averted.

Mata working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tori doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tori manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Tori working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Mata wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Mata is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
