Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardinho Vieira (ranked 743 p4p, 102 weight class) and Narek Sirakanian (ranked 1680 p4p, 215 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardinho Vieira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Narek Sirakanian!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sirakanian defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vieira.
Vieira fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Ricardinho Vieira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sirakanian scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fighters circling - Sirakanian throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Vieira has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Sirakanian darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Sirakanian fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vieira looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Vieira changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sirakanian looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Vieira goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sirakanian has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Vieira but great work by Sirakanian.

Sirakanian clobbers Vieira with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Vieira gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sirakanian counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Vieira takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sirakanian throws a hook to the side of Vieira's head but Vieira sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Vieira feinted with a counter takedown.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Vieira jabs Sirakanian to the body, keeping him at a distance.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Narek Sirakanian dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sirakanian manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vieira manages to get himself to full guard.

Sirakanian must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Vieira is looking for a triangle but Sirakanian pushes his legs off easily.

Sirakanian got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vieira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sirakanian has managed to get both his arms back between Vieira's legs - danger averted.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sirakanian accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vieira is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sirakanian has his hands clasped together around Vieira's back. He's all about the action.

Vieira is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sirakanian defends it well.

Vieira is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sirakanian doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vieira.

Vieira is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sirakanian has managed to free his arm - good work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Vieira shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Vieira was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sirakanian slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

I really don't envy Vieira right now.

Vieira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vieira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sirakanian has momentary wrist control but Vieira slips an elbow through the middle.

Vieira is looking to advance position but Sirakanian has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Vieira is squirming around, avoiding Sirakanian's attempts to control the action.
Sirakanian misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Vieira is desperately trying to improve his position but Sirakanian has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vieira wants to control but Sirakanian is having none of it.

I would just about give that final round to Narek Sirakanian.
I think Sirakanian has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
