The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durnagoz tries to land a front kick but Saroth steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Saroth shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Durnagoz defends it nicely.
Saroth shoots in for a takedown but Durnagoz shows good takedown defense.
Saroth will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khon Saroth. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Saroth fails with the takedown

and Durnagoz counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Durnagoz.
Saroth is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Durnagoz pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Durnagoz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Saroth defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Durnagoz.
As Durnagoz looks to move away, Saroth throws a big counter combo but Durnagoz just gets out of the way.

Durnagoz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Durnagoz is looking to take this one to the mat.
Durnagoz tries to score a body lock takedown but Saroth shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Durnagoz using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Saroth has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Durnagoz blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Saroth decides to pull guard.

Durnagoz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Durnagoz distracts Saroth with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Saroth wants to stand up but Durnagoz is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Durnagoz passes Saroth's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Durnagoz prevents Saroth from improving his position.
Durnagoz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Saroth won't allow Durnagoz to pass to mount.

Saroth wants to improve his position but Durnagoz is controlling well.
Durnagoz content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Saroth punching from the bottom.
Saroth is trying to get back to full guard.
Saroth is working hard here to advance position.
Saroth tries to kick Durnagoz off in order to stand up. Durnagoz Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Saroth is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Saroth wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Durnagoz has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Saroth's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Saroth is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Durnagoz!
