Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Cooper (ranked 4737 p4p, 498 weight class) and Alexander Potter (ranked 2612 p4p, 308 weight class). Cooper comes to the cage accompanied by s.mouse - slap my elbow. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter misses with the combination.
Cooper tries to clinch but Potter moves out of range.
Cooper fails with an attempt to clinch.
Potter connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cooper's hands.

It looks like Charles Cooper has been cut.
Cooper wants to clinch but Potter slips to the side
and Potter counters with a stiff right hand.
Cooper fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cooper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Potter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Potter swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Cooper thows a leg kick but Potter checks it

and Potter counters with a shoot takedown. Cooper fights it but they end up in guard.
Potter postures up in Cooper's guard and throws a big left but Cooper blocks it.
Potter is pushing down on Cooper's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cooper is fighting to maintain full guard but Potter has managed to sneak the leg through.
Potter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cooper with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Potter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cooper is just riding it out for now. Potter eventually gives up the hold.

Potter is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cooper has managed to free his arm - good work.

Potter wants to free his trapped foot but Cooper is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Potter is looking for a kimura but Cooper is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Potter to get the leverage.
Potter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cooper with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Potter is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cooper doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Potter.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Potter lands a nice short elbow.

Potter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cooper is just riding it out for now. Potter eventually gives up the hold.

Potter slips a nice elbow through Cooper's hands, connecting with Cooper's forehead.

Potter lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Potter is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Potter extends the arm and Cooper is forced to tap!
