Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jock Strap (ranked 869 p4p, 104 weight class) and Tony Costa (ranked 1530 p4p, 181 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strap throws a poor cross that misses
and Costa counters with a one-two to the body.
We've been told by Strap's head coaches at Men Only. No Liberals ! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Costa on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Strap swings for the body but Costa moves out of range.
Strap moves away from the strike by Costa.
As Costa looks to move away, Strap throws a big counter combo but Costa just gets out of the way.

Costa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A looping hook to the body misses from Costa. Strap does a little dance to reset his feet.
Costa lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Strap looks to land a left hand but Costa moved out of range nicely.
Strap fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Costa on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Strap clobbers Costa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Costa throws a looping overhand right but Strap ducks down to avoid it.

Costa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Strap tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Costa was well out of range. Poor timing from Strap.

Strap fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Costa manages to avoid it.

and Strap counters with a nice uppercut.
Strap rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Costa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Strap feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Costas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Strap throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Costa counters with a stiff right hand.

Strap moves out of range as Costa strikes.
Strap looks to score with a jab to the body but Costa is just out of range.
Strap throws a jab when Costa was well out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Strap struggles to land a body shot inside as Costa controls his hands.

Costa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Costa lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

and Strap takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Costa has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Strap seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Costa can turn it around.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Costa throws a wild hook but Strap just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Costa gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Strap raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
