Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daryl Henderson (ranked 23670 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kron Anaklusmos (ranked 4055 p4p, 0 weight class). Anaklusmos has chosen The Sopranos as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daryl Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kron Anaklusmos!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anaklusmos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Henderson wants to control but Anaklusmos is keeping busy.
Anaklusmos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Henderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The fighters are battling for position here. Henderson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Anaklusmos pushes down on Henderson's leg and manages to get into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henderson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Anaklusmos stands up and beckons Henderson to join him on the feet.
Henderson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Anaklusmos throws an elbow that misses. Henderson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Anaklusmos's guard. Nice move by Henderson!

Henderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Anaklusmos wants to get back to his feet but Henderson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Anaklusmos manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Henderson wants to clinch.
Kron Anaklusmos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anaklusmos circles away from the clinch attempt.
Henderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anaklusmos swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Henderson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Anaklusmos holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Henderson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Henderson tries for a takedown but Anaklusmos manages to get underhooks.
Henderson really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

Henderson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Anaklusmos looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Well, if Anaklusmos is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anaklusmos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kron Anaklusmos dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


The fight stays on the outside here - Henderson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Anaklusmos is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Anaklusmos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Anaklusmos gets a double leg takedown into Henderson's guard.

Henderson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Anaklusmos off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Anaklusmos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Henderson was covering up waiting for the punch and Anaklusmos finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Anaklusmos stands and steps away. Henderson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Anaklusmos shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Henderson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Henderson controls Anaklusmos momentarily but Anaklusmos frees himself.
Anaklusmos tries to stand but Henderson is controlling from the bottom.

Henderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Anaklusmos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Henderson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Anaklusmos gets to his feet. Henderson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Anaklusmos rushes Henderson and presses him up against the cage.
The referee calls for Anaklusmos to work.

Nice body punch from Henderson - that landed with a thud.

Henderson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Anaklusmos is trying to keep an underhook but Henderson manages to get the takedown into half guard.

A looping hook to the body misses from Anaklusmos. Henderson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Henderson has hold of Anaklusmos's hands but Anaklusmos slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Anaklusmos takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Kron Anaklusmos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Henderson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Anaklusmos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Anaklusmos gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Anaklusmos has Henderson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Anaklusmos pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Henderson tumbling to the mat - Anaklusmos dives into Henderson's guard.

Henderson has his foot on Anaklusmos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Anaklusmos works his way back into a safe position though.

Henderson wants to control from the top but Anaklusmos keeps moving.
Henderson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Anaklusmos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Anaklusmos gets tackled into the cage by Henderson. Henderson maintains the clinch.
Henderson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Anaklusmos fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Henderson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Henderson's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Henderson slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Anaklusmos.
Henderson content to control rather than advance.
Anaklusmos wants to improve his position but Henderson is controlling well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kron Anaklusmos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Anaklusmos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
