The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez fails with the takedown.

Li manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Martinez on his heels. He'll look to pass Martinez 's guard now, I'm sure.
Li won't allow Martinez to sweep him here.
Martinez lands a decent shot there.
Li wants to stand but Martinez is controlling his posture from full guard.
Li wants to stand and escape but instead Martinez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Li knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Martinez on the ground.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Martinez winds up and cracks Li with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Li is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Martinez pulls his head out easily.
Li throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Martinez manages to pass to side control.
Martinez takes a little break here. Li wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Li misses with an elbow from the bottom.
The referee asks Martinez politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Martinez prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martinez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Martinez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Li is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
