The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serronen tries to score with a low kick but Kirby moves his leg out of the way.
Some wild striking there from Kirby.
Serronen avoids the body shot from Kirby.
Serronen throws a shot from downtown. Kirby moves away and avoids it.
Aku Serronen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good leg kick by Serronen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kirby misses with a body shot
and Serronen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kirby throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Serronen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Serronen counters with a straight right hand.

Kirby clinches up against the cage.

Our sources have told us that Kirby has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Serronen breaks the clinch.

Kirby throws a jab when Serronen was well out of range.

Kirby closes the distance and pushes Serronen back into the cage.

Kirby is looking to wear down Serronen with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Serronen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kirby stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kirby takes a swing at Serronen's ribcage but misses.

Serronen tries to keep at a distance but Kirby has taken the fight into the clinch.

Still in the clinch, Kirby scores with a nice short uppercut.
Serronen gets through Kirby's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

and Kirby counters with a left to the body.
Serronen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Serronen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kirby.
Serronen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That kick from Serronen tenderised Kirby's leg. Kirby is trying to keep his angry face on.
Serronen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kirby has time to react.
Serronen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kirby sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Serronen cracks Kirby with an open hand slap.

Kirby is rocked!
Serronen cracks Kirby with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Kirby falls to his knees and Serronen doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
