The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pouncey thows a left - swing and a miss!
Volkov is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pouncey with a body shot.
Volkov looks to land a right hand but Pouncey moved out of range.

Volkov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pouncey avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pouncey defending well as Volkov loads up on a big left hand.
An attempted straight right counter from Pouncey misses the target.

Volkov drops Pouncey with a beautiful combination! Pouncey stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Volkov is looking for the KO!

It looks like Kelvin Pouncey has been cut.
Pouncey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Volkov as he jumps to the side.

Volkov sends Pouncey crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Volkov is motioning to the referee to let Pouncey up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Pouncey swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Pouncey missing with a left hand there. Volkov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Volkov takes a swing at Pouncey's ribcage but misses.
Volkov's coach down at Power Wrestling Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Volkov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Volkov sends Pouncey crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Volkov is motioning to the referee to let Pouncey up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Pouncey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pouncey misses with a shot to the body
and Volkov counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Pouncey out cold! What a finish! Volkov is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
