Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slim Sylvia (ranked 1042 p4p, 140 weight class) and Tomomi Tsuruta (ranked 774 p4p, 108 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sylvia might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Some Country Shit. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tomomi Tsuruta was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylvia throws an overhand right that lands on Tsuruta's shoulder, as Tsuruta tries to avoid the shot.

Tsuruta's coach down at Listerman's Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tsuruta's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Sylvia throws a shot from downtown. Tsuruta moves away and avoids it.
Tsuruta moves in looking to clinch but Sylvia pushes him off.
It looked like Sylvia wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Sylvia throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tsuruta sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tsuruta fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sylvia avoids it really well and circles away.

Sylvia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tsuruta to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sylvia wants to hit a switch here but Tsuruta passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Sylvia there!
Tsuruta lands a couple of good shots and Sylvia has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Tsuruta has managed to slip his arm under Sylvia's chin. This could be all over... yep, Sylvia is tapping out! Submission win for Tsuruta.

After winning the bout, Tomomi Tsuruta thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Slim Sylvia spoke after the fight, saying 'Half of this game is 90% mental.'.
