The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heritageaka clinches with his opponent.
Heritageaka jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hjoervarsson walks away with a smile on his face. Heritageaka gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Heritageaka drops his hands momentarily and Hjoervarsson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Heritageaka moves in looking to clinch but Hjoervarsson pushes him off.

It looks like THumongous Heritageaka has been cut.
Hjoervarsson lands with an overhand left.
We've been informed that Heritageaka has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Hjoervarsson lands a big right hand that sends Heritageaka crashing to the mat! Hjoervarsson stays standing though and waves Heritageaka back to his feet!

Heritageaka forces Hjoervarsson back against the ropes and clinches.
Hjoervarsson tries to work over Heritageaka's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Heritageaka wants a takedown.
Hjoervarsson works on Heritageaka's body with a couple of short punches.

Heritageaka is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hjoervarsson is defending well.
Arnaldur Hjoervarsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of THumongous Heritageaka.

Hjoervarsson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hjoervarsson sends Heritageaka crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hjoervarsson is motioning to the referee to let Heritageaka up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Hjoervarsson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Heritageaka sprawling to the canvas! Heritageaka rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hjoervarsson finish him?!
Hjoervarsson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Heritageaka misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Hjoervarsson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Heritageaka seems to have recovered his senses.

Heritageaka on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Hjoervarsson drops Heritageaka with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Heritageaka looks back up at him and smiles so Hjoervarsson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Heritageaka is rocked!
Heritageaka switches off momentarily and Hjoervarsson cracks him with a monster right hand! Heritageaka topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Hjoervarsson dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Hjoervarsson!
