Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Casper Timmermans (ranked 234 p4p, 29 weight class) and Michael Garibaldi (ranked 294 p4p, 36 weight class). Garibaldi has chosen Resist and Bite - Sabaton as his entrance music. Michael Garibaldi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
25 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Casper Timmermans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Garibaldi!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garibaldi drops his hands momentarily and Timmermans takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Garibaldi swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Garibaldi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Timmermans avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Donk. Garibaldi catches Timmermans right on the button with a cross.
Casper Timmermans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good leg kick by Garibaldi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A thudding body kick lands there by Garibaldi!
Timmermans moves out of range of the body kick from Garibaldi.
Timmermans throws a lazy right hand but Garibaldi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A jab from Timmermans does it's job there.
Garibaldi ducks under a wild hook from Timmermans.
Garibaldi steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Timmermans.
Timmermans pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Garibaldi misses with a low kick as Timmermans jumps back.
Michael Garibaldi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The crowd cheers as Timmermans lands an impressive looking overhand right. Garibaldi doesn't seem phased though.
Timmermans cracks Garibaldi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Garibaldi misses with a kick to the body
and Timmermans counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Timmermans scoring with some ground and pound.
Garibaldi has momentary wrist control but Timmermans slips an elbow through the middle.
Timmermans looking to sit in guard and control but Garibaldi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Garibaldi won't allow Timmermans to sweep him here.
Timmermans wants to hit a switch here but Garibaldi passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Timmermans there!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Garibaldi fails to move to back control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Timmermans is trying to escape the mount.
Garibaldi is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Timmermans to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Timmermans shrugs it off.
Garibaldi tries to take his opponent's back but Timmermans turns with him and manages to move into guard on the top. Nice work.
Garibaldi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Timmermans defends well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Timmermans controls from within his opponent's guard.
Garibaldi keeping moving, preventing Timmermans from controlling successfully.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Timmermans is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Garibaldi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Garibaldi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Timmermans can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Timmermans looking to improve position, pressing down on Garibaldi's thigh with his hand. Garibaldi seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Timmermans paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Timmermans's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Garibaldi picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
