Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Leroux (ranked 6086 p4p, 508 weight class) and Ricardo Rebenta (ranked 5673 p4p, 493 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rebenta shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Leroux pinned against the cage. Leroux gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rebenta bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Rebenta fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Leroux sprawls well initially but Rebenta persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Leroux isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rebenta stacks Leroux on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rebenta!

Rebenta is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leroux is just riding it out for now. Rebenta eventually gives up the hold.

Rebenta is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
