The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emkimp scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Emkimp moves in looking to clinch but Krakowski pushes him off.
Emkimp tries to land a body kick

and Krakowski counters with a takedown into side control.

Emkimp bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Krakowski gets caught flat footed, as Emkimp shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Krakowski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Krakowski blocks the strikes from Emkimp.
Krakowski is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Krakowski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Emkimp is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Krakowski's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Krakowski's back!
Emkimp is trying to stick to Krakowski's back but Krakowski is turning into Emkimp. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Emkimp's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Krakowski.

Krakowski stands up and waves to Emkimp to follow him.

Krakowski shoots in and bounces Emkimp off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Emkimp had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Krakowski defends it easily.
