The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hero buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kowalevitz with a poor takedown
and Hero counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hero misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A lazy left from Hero finds it's target.
No luck for Kowalevitz with that takedown attempt.
Hero lands with a good body shot.
Kowalevitz has his takedown stuffed
and Hero makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Dollar Hero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Kowalevitz.
Hero turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kowalevitz needs to keep his hands up - Hero had a free shot at his head there.
Dollar Hero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hero displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kowalevitz.
Hero lands a leg kick that knocks Kowalevitz off balance momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hero throws a leg kick which misses Kowalevitz's front leg but catches the back leg as Kowalevitz tries to avoid it.

We've been hearing reports that Hero has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Dollar Hero spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
