The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rashad misses with a two punch combination.

Faolks gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rashad lands a shoulder strike.
Rashad taking a breather.
Faolks misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rashad .
Faolks tries for a takedown but Rashad manages to get underhooks.
Rashad tries to throw a body punch but Faolks avoids it by throwing Rashad back against the cage.
Faolks is trying to pull guard but Rashad turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Faolks scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Rashad breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Faolks shoots in looking for a takedown but Rashad manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Faolks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rashad steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Faolks.

Rashad 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Faolks throws a leg kick but Rashad moved away.
Faolks walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Isaish Rashad is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rashad swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Faolks.

Faolks clinches up with Rashad and pushes him back against the cage.
Faolks has had enough of the clinch but Rashad keeps him there for the moment.

Rashad will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Faolks up against the cage.

Faolks is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rashad sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rashad takes a swing at Faolks's ribcage but misses.
Faolks fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rashad swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Rashad connects with a body shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
