Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stu Grimson (ranked 3 p4p, 1 weight class) and Rocket Bob Frankels (ranked 20 p4p, 1 weight class). Grimson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Omerta - Lamb of God. Frankels has chosen Dawn....Summer Solstice... as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frankels connects with a body shot that sends Grimson's belly button to the back.
Frankels throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Frankels crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Grimson - the referee stops the clock and Frankels gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Grimson. Frankels manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Frankels's jab looks to have found its range, popping Grimson under the eye.

Rocket Bob Frankels dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Grimson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Grimson motions for Frankels to come forward. Grimson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Stu Grimson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Frankels sends Grimson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Frankels is motioning to the referee to let Grimson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Frankels - that will leave a mark!

Frankels pounces like a tiger and cracks Grimson with a vicious hook! Grimson is down but not out! Frankels follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Rocket Bob Frankels was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
