PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Wangler (ranked 693 p4p, 107 weight class) and Nikos Giannopoulos (ranked 620 p4p, 95 weight class). Wangler kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Clash - I Fought The Law. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Nikos Giannopoulos enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giannopoulos throws the kick towards the body but Wangler avoids it.

Some bone on bone action there as Wangler checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Wangler fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Giannopoulos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Wangler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Giannopoulos can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wangler postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Giannopoulos looks a forlorn figure.
