PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Fjera (ranked 1826 p4p, 211 weight class) and Barol Kedorf (ranked 2022 p4p, 228 weight class). Kedorf has chosen Ostatni dzwonek as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fjera lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Barol Kedorf has been cut.
Fjera misses with a low kick.
Fjera scoring well with a low kick there.
Fjera darts in looking for a takedown but Kedorf gets double underhooks and turns Fjera into the cage.
No luck for Fjera with that takedown attempt.
It seemed like Kedorf was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Fjera feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kedorf fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fjera looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Kedorf lands a big uppercut and Fjera crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Fjera looks OK. Kedorf waves Fjera back to his feet!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kedorf dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Fjera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kedorf cracks Fjera with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Fjera tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Kedorf pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Fjera is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barol Kedorf!
After winning the bout, Barol Kedorf thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
