The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cook closes the distance and clinches.
Arcuri can't find room to land a body shot as Cook controls the action.
Arcuri jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cook walks away with a smile on his face. Arcuri gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Arcuri scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cook doesn't seem bothered though.
Arcuri darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Cook throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Arcuri is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Cook clinches with his opponent.
Arcuri lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cook backwards.
Cook has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Cook lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Arcuri lands a nice uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cook wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Arcuri has him pressed against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Arcuri has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Arcuri drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cook pulls his leg out and moves away.

Cook sends Arcuri crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Cook is motioning to the referee to let Arcuri up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Arcuri tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cook just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bob Cook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Arcuri.
Arcuri lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Arcuri throws a punch but it's blocked by Cook.
Cook lands a left hand that snaps the head of Arcuri backwards.

Cook's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cook cracks Arcuri on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Arcuri falls backwards against the cage. Cook follows up with more strikes that drop Arcuri to his knees. Cook keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Arcuri! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bob Cook!
A relieved looking Bob Cook thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
