The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Martynov pinned against the cage. Martynov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Costa looks to score with a jab to the body but Martynov is just out of range.
Martynov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Costa.
The fighters circle momentarily. Martynov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Costa misses with a looping left.
Costa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Martynov sprawls well. Martynov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Costa gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Costa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Martynov throws a jab when Costa was well out of range.
Costa is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Costa.

Costa takes a swing at Martynov's ribcage but misses.
A little feinted left hand from Martynov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Martynov scores with a jab. Costa acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Costa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Martynov moves away.
Costa fails with a takedown attempt.
A swing and a miss from Martynov.
And Costa tries to counter it with a takedown but Martynov pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Martynov fails to land with a series of punches.
Costa just misses with a punch to the body.
Martynov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Costa has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
No joy there for Costa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
As Costa looks to move away, Martynov throws a big counter combo but Costa just gets out of the way.
Costa lands a body shot.
Costa throws a lazy uppercut
and Martynov counters with a stiff right hand.
Costa fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Martynov enables Costa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Martynov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Costa has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Martynov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Costa is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Martynov pulls down on the head and he's put Costa to sleep! This one is all over!
