PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Brown (ranked 3512 p4p, 375 weight class) and Ernest Graves (ranked 2307 p4p, 263 weight class). Brown comes into the arena with Hail Mary Tupac blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ernest Graves!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graves works Brown's body with a nice hook.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Graves sprawls well. Graves wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.
Graves doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Brown takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've been told by Brown's head coaches at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Brown takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Graves as he jumps to the side.
Graves thuds a left hand into Brown's body.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Graves shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshua Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Graves lands a body shot.
Graves throws a good cross that connects.

It looks like Joshua Brown has been cut.

Graves feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Brown sprawling to the canvas! Brown rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Graves finish him?!

Brown is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Graves lands an uppercut, right on the button! Brown tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

During a confident post fight interview, Ernest Graves thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
