The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sith gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Mongus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sith clinches up with Mongus and pushes him back against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Mongus gets control of Sith's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mongus will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mongus is adopting a defensive guard.
Sith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mongus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mongus is on top in guard.

Mongus cracks Sith with a big right hand but Sith just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Mongus is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sith's shoulder. That is not cool.
We've been hearing that Mongus has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mongus has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Mongus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sith closes the distance and pushes Mongus back into the cage.

Mongus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mongus slips a nice elbow through Sith's hands, connecting with Sith's forehead.
Well, if Mongus is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Sith wants to control but Mongus is keeping busy.

Mongus maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Sith could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Mongus has cracked it and Sith is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Mongus!
